Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. We collect information you voluntarily provide, along with the limited technical, operational, and usage information described below. We may use information you provide to respond to inquiries or provide requested services. We do not sell or rent this information.

Cookies and Analytics

Simfolio uses essential first-party cookies for site functions such as authentication, security, guest usage limits, and reporting-currency preferences. These operational cookies are not disabled by the analytics preference.

If you select Accept in Cookie Preferences, we use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand acquisition, page navigation and exits, clicks, form submissions, scrolling, repeated or unresponsive clicks, pricing and sign-up funnels, analysis runs, result-section use, exports, saved workspaces, optional integrations, browser errors, device and browser characteristics, network timing, and web performance. PostHog also records session replays so we can understand how visitors move through the product. Typed form and input values, including portfolio tickers, weights, names, email addresses, and passwords, are masked in replay; network request and response bodies are not recorded. Structured product-event payloads do not include portfolio tickers, portfolio weights, portfolio names, holdings, current allocations, email addresses, or shared portfolio configuration links. Routes and query parameters containing authentication tokens or shared configurations are excluded. Raw client-IP storage is disabled, although PostHog may derive coarse country, region, or city information before discarding the address. Simfolio's administrator account is excluded from optional analytics.

With your consent, a first-party 30-minute cookie counts one visit when your browser opens the landing page or dashboard. Moving between those pages within that session does not add another visit. We retain only daily aggregate visit totals for the public annual-visits display, without visitor identifiers in that count.

If you select Decline, optional analytics tags are not loaded and existing analytics cookies are removed where the browser permits. You can change your selection at any time using Cookie Settings in the footer.

Use of our Services

Saved strategy workspaces retain their inputs, settings, and latest complete successful run output. Free members can save one workspace and paying members can save twenty. A completed output enters private compressed workspace storage when you explicitly save it; saved output is restored when you open the workspace or refresh the page. Completed research tools remain attached to their exact saved source. Guest and unsaved workspace runs do not receive durable workspace output storage. Deleting the workspace removes access immediately and queues its private result objects for deletion. Analysis results may also be held in content-addressed shared cache storage and short-lived operational run storage to deliver results, recover interrupted runs, and make an identical later run faster. Requests may appear in server logs used for security, reliability, debugging, and service development. We do not sell or rent this information.

Optional Brokerage Connections

Where available, you may authorize a read-only connection through SnapTrade. Simfolio does not request trading access or collect your brokerage login credentials. We encrypt the provider access secret and store the account information, holdings, balances and selected transaction-history window needed for your requested analysis in private storage. Syncing is deliberate and bounded; opening a saved account does not automatically refresh its history. Brokerage account and comparison content is excluded from optional session replay.

Disconnecting requests revocation of provider access and stops new imports immediately. Provider confirmation may follow later. Your latest saved evidence remains available under your plan until you replace it or delete your Simfolio account; trial or subscription expiration does not automatically delete it. Replacement removes access to superseded evidence and queues its objects for deletion. Account deletion requests provider-user deletion before removing local credentials and queues stored objects for deletion. Failed cleanup is retained for retry. SnapTrade and your institution process connection information under their own privacy policies.
